Charles early career was as an international banker in the City of London initially in back office functions before moving onto front office lending and corporate finance activities. Charles specialised in loan syndications and project financing, especially energy projects (e.g. North Sea, Australian Cooper Basin and Northwest Shelf oil/gas field projects; uranium mining in South Texas; geothermal projects in California).

Charles has acted as UK and international representative of a US public oil and gas company and was instrumental in getting their shares listed on the London Stock Exchange as well as raising equity and drilling fund monies. Charles has worked partnership with others in the fields of corporate finance, venture capital investments and technology transfers.

Charles has extensive experience of M&A transaction excellence acting as corporate finance lead advisor on many business sales for owner managers and corporate clients. In addition Charles has handled numerous corporate acquisitions and fund raising in the SME sector both domestically and internationally.
