Paul is a Chartered Accountant who has gained significant commercial expertise during his career whilst holding senior financial positions in both blue chip multinationals (Ladbrokes, Lombard Bank & RTZ) and owner-managed businesses.  His experience has been gained across numerous sectors (including Advertising & Media, Shared Service Centres, IT, Property, Gaming, Retail, Recruitment, Biotechnology, Financial Services) and extensively across Europe and Asia.

His roles have included responsibility for day-to-day financial, operational and administrative matters including financial and management accounting, implementing ERP systems & accounting packages, improving financial systems and controls, project management, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, preparation of business plans, cashflows, budgets, outsourcing accounts functions, and man-management of up to 65 staff.  He has also held responsibility for due-diligence exercises from both the acquirer and seller viewpoint.

Prior to joining Solution Paul spent 9 months working as an interim Managing Director in Mumbai for one of the world’s largest advertising groups listed on both the Paris and New York stock exchanges.  Here he had operational and financial responsibility for running a Shared Service Centre responsible for all back office functions of Indian group subsidiaries and during this time also managed the implementation of a major ERP system involving over 600 users throughout the country.  Prior to this he worked for 5 years as Finance Director at subsidiary board level within a London stock exchange listed group operating in the IT industry (he was responsible for the original sale of this subsidiary to the Holding Company) where he also managed an offshore development subsidiary based in Delhi.

His diverse financial experience across many sectors and countries provides a significant contribution to the Solution team.
